Charice Pempengco has finally spoken.
CHARICE PEMPENGCO – International singer Charice Pempengco who has recently changed her name broke her silence regarding the stand of her grandmother, Tess Relucio, over her controversial move.
It was just recently when the breakup of longtime lovers Charice Pempengco and Alyssa Quijano sparked news reports. It was followed by the changing of the name of the international singer which also became a controversial topic.
The people on the social media reacted after the singer changed her name into ‘Jake Zyrus’.
Charice’s controversial move sparked mixed reactions from the netizens on the social media and as well as from those who are close to the international singer.
There were those who expressed support on the move of Charice to change her name. One of them is singer Aiza Seguerra who said that there is nothing wrong with what Charice has done most especially if it can help her in setting herself free.
Meanwhile, there were also those who were disappointed by the international singer’s move. One of them is her very own grandmother Thess Pineda who was later on identified in reports as Tess Relucio.
The singer’s grandma expressed that she can no longer tolerate her granddaughter. She also stressed that has covered her up several times before.
Tess emphasized that she was born as Charice Pempengco and she will die as Charice Pempengco.
Based on a recent entertainment report in ABS-CBN News, the international singer broke her silence regarding her grandma’s stand over her new name Jake Zyrus.
Speaking on the network’s Tonight with Boy Abunda, Charice said that she accepts whatever her grandmother has said about her as she loves her family. According to her, she understands them and her mom would often tell her that she’s always there for her.
“Kahit na ano mang sabihin nila, ng lola ko, at the end of the day, we’re still family. I love them. I love you, guys,” the singer said based on the report.
Charice or Jake also added her belief that someday her grandmother would see the happiness that she feels.
