Philippine Healthcare

In the Philippines, a lot of healthcare workers died due to COVID-19 in the line of their duties. As the frontliners of the fight, they are the first priority in the COVID-19 vaccination which is ongoing now.

At least 70 million people in the Philippines must be vaccinated to achieve population protection against the COVID-19. The national government will also open the vaccination to minors aged 12 to 17 years old.

With regards to the tourism industry which is also one of the hardest-hit sectors amid the pandemic, the increase in the vaccination rates and the drop in the COVID-19 cases have encouraged several local government units to make changes in their protocols for those who wish to visit their place.
