The Republican Presidential Candidate in 2016, Marco Rubio, said in a 2012 speech that when he graduated from law school, he had a student loan of close to $150,000. He credited the federal grants and loans as his support system why he was able to have his tertiary education. He had attended Tarkio College, the University of Florida, and the University of Miami Law School.
