The group was managed by Bob and Chris Herbert of Heart Management and the audition took place in 1994. Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Victoria Adams (AKA Victoria Beckham), Michelle Stephenson, and Dina Carroll were initially the members of the group. Emma Bunton replaced Michelle Stephenson while Geri Halliwell missed the first audition because she was in Spain visiting her sick grandmother. Even Victoria was not an original member because she just replaced Melanie Laccohee when the group was still called “Touch”.
