There are two stages in the lifespan of a dragonfly. In its aquatic larvae or “nymph” stage, 1 to 3 years are spent and when it becomes a full-frown dragonfly, it will crawl out of the water up to stem of a plant. Once a dragonfly becomes an adult, its lifespan is just about 6 months.
