Elton John worked together with Bernie Taupin in another musical, Lestat: The Musical which opened on Broadway in 2006 but it was a huge flop. The play was based on The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. It closed after two months with just 39 performances. However, the rest of his stints in musicals were successful including the stage adaptation of Disney’s The Lion King and The Devil Wears Prada.
