Frankenstein Author Mary Shelley Has This Real-Life Spine-Chilling Story
Some theorized that the heart of the poet was calcified due to earlier tuberculosis. Another theory that surfaced in an 1885 New York Times article said that it might be the liver of Percy Shelley.
“Shelley’s liver was saturated with seawater, and was on that account more than normally incombustible.” a portion of the article stated.
