Around the world, the Great Wall of China (nicknamed by America, used also by the United Kingdom, France, and Germany) has different names. For other Western countries, it is “The Chinese Wall.” China bestowed the simple name “The Long Wall.” Over the years, the man-made wonder also earned the moniker “The Purple Frontier” and “The Earth Dragon.”
