Steps in Cooking Lemony-Garlic Pan-Seared Salmon:
Step 1 – Pat salmon dry and sprinkle both sides with salt, garlic powder, and lemon pepper.
Step 2 – Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and wait until shimmer.
Step 3 – Add the salmon with its skin-side on the downpart and cook.
Step 4 – Press the fillets down using a spatula for around 15 seconds.
Step 5 – Release the spatula and continue cooking until the skin releases easily from the pan and the edges of the salmon are opaque. It may take three (3) to four (4) minutes.
Step 6 – Switch the heat to medium-low and flip the salmon.
Step 7 – Add butter and garlic to the pan and cooks for two (2) to four (4) minutes.
Step 8 – Move the salmon to a platter, sprinkle them with herbs and lemon zest. Serve your dish with lemon wedges.
