Armenia: Why Capital City Yerevan Is Called The Pink City?

Pink tuff is not common outside Yerevan or in the region. The capital of Armenia is the only city built out of this stone. However, similar type of this rock can be found also in selected parts of Turkey and of the U.S. southwest.
