Ice Cream History: How This Cold & Sweet Treat Started
Evidence linking to the ice cream history can be pointed to China during the Tang period (A.D. 618-907). During that time, buffalo, cows, and goats’ milk was heated and allowed to ferment and this would create a yogurt-like mixture. Then flour was added for thickening and camphor for flavor.
This will be refrigerated before serving. King Tang had 2,271 people working for him and 94 of them were ice-men.
