Steps in Cooking Lemon & Dill Chicken
Step 1 – Season the chicken with pepper and salt on both sides.
Step 2 – Heat 1.5 teaspoon of oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 3 – Add the chicken and sear until both sides turn color brown. It may take around three (3) minutes per side.
Step 4 – Move the chicken to a plate and cover it with foil.
Step 5 – Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 1.5 teaspoon of oil to the pan.
Step 6 – Add onion and garlic and cook it. Stir them for around one (1) minute.
Step 7 – Whisk flour, broth, and one (1) tablespoon of dill and lemon juice add it to the pan. Continue cooking it until it thickens. It may take around three (3) minutes.
Step 8 – Bring back the chicken and any accumulate juices to the pan.
Step 9 – Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the chicken is cooked. It may take around four (4) minutes.
After cooking, place the chicken to a warmed platter and season it with pepper and salt. Add the remaining one tablespoon of chopped fresh dill as garnish.
