Don Ritchie: How he stopped over 160 people from ending their own lives

In 2006, Don received recognition for helping prevent the act of ending one’s own life. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. He and his wife were also named Citizens of the Year by the Woollahra Council, the local government authority responsible for The Gap in 2010. In 2011, he received the Local Hero Award For Australia.
