The Matrix Codes: Secret Behind The Falling Codes in Keanu Reeves’ Movie

With the thought that the Japanese characters are written and read from top to bottom, Whiteley decided to change the movement of the codes, from the top and falling down.

“The movie is very machine-oriented. I love that idea that it’s about something so mechanical, but amongst it, the actual code is extracted from something so organic and free-flowing,” Whiteley said.
