Elton John: Things You Need To Know About This Music Icon

When Elton was 20 years old, he collaborated with English songwriter Bernie Taupin and the name Reggie Dwight was replaced by Elton John which is a combination of the names of his bandmates, saxophonist Elton Dean and vocalist Long John Baldry. He legally changed his name to Elton Hercules John in 1972.
