Ghana Has Its Own Version Of Land Of Oz’s ‘Yellow-Brick Road’

Nowadays, most of these containers are no longer in use and discarded. This became an inspiration for artist Serge Attukwei Clottey to cut the plastic containers and made the pieces into a giant yellow plastic tapestries.

The artist is getting help from the people in collecting the gallons. He would dress up like a woman with his friends to collect gallons from a dumpsite. It is to show how these gallons are being associated with women.
