The Countess of Rothes

The Countess of Rothes, also known as Lucy Noel Leslie, was one of the heroes of the said tragedy. She helped row Lifeboat 8 and manning the tiller, crewman Able Seaman Thomas Jones said.

She also consoled rescued passengers. After the sinking, The Countess continued helping other people and being a nurse in World War I. She died in 1956.
